Jewellery

While we accept that it is the fashion for all children these days to wear items of jewellery, we do request that certain criteria be maintained.

No child should wear excessive amounts of jewellery.

Jewellery should not be loose or dangling so that it could cause a safety problem. Items such as watches should be functional and not be of the game/alarm type that could disturb a class All jewellery should be easily removable to facilitate participation in class activities. Valuable jewellery should not be worn.

We suggest that studs or sleeper type earrings be worn, as these are less likely to cause problems in the general activity met in school.

When jewellery is removed for activities such as PE, staff will collect all jewellery and store it in a safe place for the duration of the lesson.
