Multi-cultural Education

"Multi-cultural Education could best be described as a form of education which enables all children to accept the concept that society in Britain is multi-cultural and that it assists them to take their rightful place in society with dignity and equality, irrespective of any ethnic, religious or racial origins and to participate fully in the life of a humane, multi-cultural democracy." (Cardiff County Policy Statement)

St. Peter’s has a high regard for the nature of society and as a catholic School, our pupils are educated in the Catholic Faith. We aim to foster through our curriculum, the cultural diversity of our present society and an awareness, tolerance and respect for all other cultures and their religious beliefs. Thus racist acts or expressions will be actively discouraged through the positive example of everyone in our school.
