Safety and Security

The safety and security of your children while they are with us in school is of great importance to us. To ensure safety, we have a series of procedures to keep our external boundaries secure. We have in place protective fencing around the whole boundary. Access gates are locked as soon as the children are inside the building. The gates are then opened for parental access at the end of the teaching day.

Our external doors remain closed during the day. Daily and late access is through the main school doors. An intercom system connected to the secretary and/or the staff room, allows visitors to be identified prior to accessing entry to the building.

For reasons of safety, we have had to restrict access to the building while it is being cleaned after the school day. Parents are requested to wait in the covered foyer, at the front of the school for those children who are engaged in after school activities. At the end of these sessions, the staff involved will escort those children to the foyer.
