School day

The school hours are: 8.55 am. to 3.30 pm.

The nursery sessions: 9.00 a.m. to 11.45 am
12.45 pm. to 3.30 pm.

Children should arrive in the playground at least five minutes before school begins to ensure that there
is a prompt start to the school day.

The side gates are unlocked for half an hour at the beginning and end of the school day to allow
sufficient access time.

No child should be inside the school building before 8.55am unless they are with a teacher for a specific purpose. In this way we are able to ensure that we are aware of all children on site in the case of an emergency.

When the weather is inclement children congregate in the school halls under the supervision of the
teachers on duty that day. Parents are requested to leave once the member of staff on duty is present to
alleviate possible congestion.

Please encourage the children to wipe their feet and to put wet clothes on their coat hangers before
coming to the hall.

Nursery and Reception children must be taken to and collected from their classrooms by a responsible,
designated ADULT at the appropriate time. For safety sake please ensure that your child is handed
into the care of the class teacher.

If you are unable to meet your child please inform us of the person who will collect them. Similarly, if
you are delayed, inform us as soon as possible so that we can keep your child within the recognised
supervised area.

Children from Year One and Year Two classes should be brought to their line each morning and met in
the playground outside their classes after school. Older children should be met at the other designated
collection points in the junior playgrounds.

If you are to take home a child from another family, please inform the Class Teacher of the child involved.

Could parents please note that the parking spaces near the side entrance of the school are by right
PRIVATE PROPERTY and should therefore be treated as such.

Parents are asked to exercise consideration and courtesy to local residents when parking their cars.
This applies both morning and evening when parents are bringing children to school or collecting
them. Inconsiderate parking and general high levels of noise can affect our relations with our
neighbours

IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY, PARENTS SHOULD NOTE THAT NO CARS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE SCHOOL GATES EITHER TO DROP CHILDREN OR TO TURN AROUND.
